7. OPERATION

7.1 Adjusting the signal levels

As soon as the Audio-signals are present the signal levels are reproduced by the speakers. You can adjust
the level of the input signals via the respective controls (Mic 1-3, Aux In).
The playback level of the Cassette-deck or CD-player is adjusted via the Tape/CD-control.

7.2 CD Slot In

Press the TAPE/CD-switch to start operation. The player is ready for use when the display is illuminated and
shows "NO DISC".
This CD-player is suitable for playing 12 cm standard CDs. Please do not use 8 cm CD, CD business cards
or CDs with special shapes. CDs with protective foil or stickers must not be played.
Recordable (CD-R) and rewritable (CD-RW) CDs may not be correctly played back. This CD-player can only
play back CDs in line with the specifications of the International Red Book. Copy-protected CDs of some
manufacturers are not in line with these specifications and may not be correctly played back. MP3-CDs and
text-CDs cannot be played back.
Please do also check your CD, if there are residues in the center hole. If there are some, please clean them
by using a pen or appropriate tool.
Insert your CD in the CD Slot In. Make sure that you only hold the CD with 2 fingers on the edge. Avoid
touching the inside area of the CD.

7.3 LCD-display

If the CD is improperly positioned,"ERROR" appears on the display.
If the CD is properly positioned, the CD-player reads the CD.
