5.5. batteries (fig.5.5):

Also see Chapter 9.0 for detail.
Remove the Battery cover by gently levering out the
plastic clips with a flat bladed screwdriver.
Undo the the Velcro® securing strip.
Undo the GREY plug that connects the two batteries
together.
Remove the battery nearest to you by sliding it out.
Go to the front of the wheelchair and locate the power
module just beneath the centre of the seat pan.
Disconnect the middle plug.
Return to the rear of the wheelchair and slide the
second battery out.

5.6. wheels (fig.5.6 & 5.7):
If it is necessary to remove the wheels, to repair a
damaged tyre for example, proceed as follows:

All wheels are safety critical items. If you are unsure about
performing these tasks, please contact your approved
Sunrise Medical dealer.

Quickie Tango
front castor wheel (fig.5.6):
Use a 6 mm. Allen wrench & 13.0mm spanner to
remove the wheel axle from the fork.
Remove the damaged wheel.
When the wheel has been repaired, follow the reverse
procedure to refit.
Tighten the axle to a torque of 19 Nm.

rear drive wheel (fig.5.7):
Loosen the 4 studs with a 5.0mm. Hexagonal socket
wrench, (Allen Key) and 13.0mm spanner.
Elevate the wheel using blocks.
Remove the studs & damaged wheel.
When it has been repaired, follow the reverse
procedure to refit.
Tighten the 4 studs to a torque of 25Nm
note: The rear wheels are designed as separate rims
and can be disassembled to simplify changing the tube
or tyre.
