    ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator. Disconnect the cord plug from the power circuit before changing abrasive discs.

  • Page 8 ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR PAINT REMOVAL Extreme care should be taken when removing paint. The peelings, residue, and vapors of paint may contain lead, which is poisonous. Exposure to even low levels of lead can cause irreversible brain and nervous system damage. Young and unborn children are particularly vulnerable.

Right Handle Boss FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION FOREWORD Model 7403 has been designed for safe, quick, easy removal of paint from clapboard, porches, masonry steps, patios, walls, etc. ASSEMBLY NOTE: This tool is shipped completely assembled. With the exception of the auxiliary handle, no assembly time or tools are required.

  • Page 14 SIDE RAILS Two knobs (A) Fig. 12 are provided for controlling the movement of the side rails, above or below the pad. For manual instruction purposes, the right knob is on the same side of the motor frame as the sander handle. The right side rail is controlled by this knob.

    Use a #24 or #36 grit carbide disc for this job since the grit on paper discs is quickly destroyed. Masonry is sanded in the same manner as wood.
