    600 mAh (nickel-cadmium from Sanyo) or NiMH 1000 mAh (metal nickel hydride from Varta or Furukuwa), and can be recharged by various types of recharging units. As an alternative, the RE529 can be powered from dry batteries. In this case, only high quality dry batteries intended for professional use should be used (e.g., UCAR, Duracell, Varta etc.)
