Using The Affinity Breast Pump
6. When a pumping session is finished, turn the pump off with the on/off button. After turning
the pump off,the display will remain on for a few seconds. Make sure there is no suction on
the nipple(s) before removing the breastflanges. If necessary, break the suction by inserting a
finger between the breastflange and the breast.
Note: LCD display light will automatically switch off if no buttons are pressed for 20 seconds
in order to save power. If the pump is left on but unattended for more than 30 minutes, the
pump will automatically power off.
For Single Pumping:
Remove one tube and close the tubing connector. Make sure
that the plug is placed into the pipe outlet properly and pushed
in securely.

4. Adjust the suction to your comfort level while pumping
by pressing the increase (+) or decrease (–) button next
to the suction icon.
After two minutes, the Let-Down Phase will
automatically change to the Expression Phase,
indicated by the Expression Icon on the display.
5. While in the Expression Phase, you can separately
adjust both the speed and suction settings. Choose
the setting that is most comfortable for you and results
in the greatest milk expression.
Note: The speed or suction level will appear on the
display panel ["L1" indicates the lowest level and
"L6" (speed) or "L8" (suction) indicates the highest
level. ] This display can help you remember what
speed and suction level is right for you.
Using The Affinity Breast Pump / Power Options
The Adjustable Difference
Your Lansinoh Affinity Breast Pump allows you to adjust both speed and suction settings. Choose
the settings that are most comfortable for you and result in the greatest milk expression.
Speed Buttons
These control the speed of the pump. Push the + button to increase the speed. Some mothers
have found that their milk flows more quickly if the pump speed is initially set on "high." Push
the (-) button to decrease the speed to the highest setting comfortable for you. Find the speed
that most closely corresponds to the sucking rhythm of your baby. Your pump can be adjusted
from speed levels 1 to 6.
Note: Some mothers find it helpful to begin pumping on a high setting, then lower the setting
once milk starts to flow.
Suction Buttons
These control the suction strength. Push the (+) button to increase the suction. Continue to push
the (+) button to increase the suction to the highest level comfortable for you. Push the (-) button
to decrease the suction. Your pump can be adjusted from suction levels 1 to 8.
Note: If the suction on your breast reaches uncomfortable levels, reduce the suction level by
pushing the (-) Suction button, or disconnect the pump connector from its receptacle on the
electric pump.

The pump may be operated under any of the following power supply modes:
