Troubleshooting

Generally, when a malfunction or an abnormal condition occurs, the "READY" LED will
keep blinking. Printing and communication between the host and printer will stop.
To understand what the problem is you should first check the LED indicators and LCD
display on the front panel:
After the problems have been solved, press CANCEL to continue printing.

Missing gap
Media out
Media not installed
Media jam
Printhead module is not
closed
Media Calibration lost

Possible Problems
Incorrect Switch setting Switch 1 should be off for
Ribbon has run out
Ribbon jam
Ribbon sensor error
Fastmark 6000 Series
Solutions
- Check the media path
- Check the position of the
media sensor.
- Check the paper sensor
- Check the Media Supply
Roll
- Install a Media roll
- Clear the jam
- Close and latch the
printhead module
Run the Label Sensor Calibration procedure.
Solutions
DT mode.
Supply the ribbon roll
Clear the jam
Replace the ribbon sensor
Remarks
If using continuous media with Windows
then in the Paper Tab section
continuous should be selected.
Verify that the media is properly
positioned between the Media Sensor
Arms.
Verify that the media is routed correctly.
Remarks
Direct Thermal media does not use a
ribbon.
Verify proper ribbon installation.
