Firmware Updating Procedure
New features for the mini dvr pro are posted to our website as they become available. Our customers
have access to these features via firmware updates for the lifetime of the product. Please check this site
regularly to implement the newest changes.
Firmware updates are located at www.ffv.com in the Support
Locate the latest revision of firmware for the video board (CVXX.fud). Download and unzip the files.
Hook up the mini dvr pro to your computer:
Hook a DB9 straight-through cable from the 9 pin of the DVR to the 9 pin serial port of your computer.
Performing the update:

Download and Install DVR Master software (available from the Tech Support page of ffv.com -
NDT 200 Table), including the .NET Frameworks 2.0.

Connect via the RS-232 port of the Mini DVR Pro and start DVR Master software. Make sure that
the software does NOT indicate that there was no device detected.

Click the Rev. button in the lower Right Hand corner of the DVR Master window, and then the
Update button. Browse for the firmware update file (unzipped), and Open or Send... The file
should download and confirm finished.

Whether it says success or fail, restart the DVR and check the firmware Rev. date to verify that
the update happened successfully. Some false failures occur due to missing RS-232 data...
