    Viewing the Display Screen Your phone’s interior and exterior display screens provide a wealth of information about your phone’s status and options. This list identifies the symbols you’ll see on your phone’s display screens: Indicates that your phone is receiving 3G service. Indicates that your phone is receiving digital service.

    Tip: The Power Save feature helps to conserve battery power when you are in an area where there is no signal. To turn your phone off: • Press and hold for two seconds until you see the powering down animation on the display screen. Your screen remains blank while your phone is off (unless the battery is charging).

    Phone Basics Note: Your phone can display the various features and options in one of three different menu styles, Grid style 1, Grid style 2 and List style. By default, your phone is set to Grid style 1. This user guide corresponds to the Grid style 1 and Grid style 2 menu styles.

    Voice Kit Voice Service Voice recognition allows you to say commands to perform common functions supported by your phone. There is no voice training required to use the voice recognition feature. You simply say the pre-designated command displayed on your screen in a normal tone of voice to perform the desired function. To activate voice recognition: 1.
  • Page 45 Tips for using Voice Dial: • Voice Dial works best in quieter environments. • When saying a number, speak at a normal speed and say each digit clearly. There is no need to pause between digits. • The phone recognizes the digits one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero, and oh.
