Searching and doing things by voice

You can use Voice Actions from Google to search the web by
speaking, instead of by typing (as described in "Searching your
phone and the web" on page 55).
To search the web by voice
1
Press & hold the Search button
OR
Press the Search button
the Google search box.
2
Speak the words that you want to search for.
When you're finished speaking, Google search by voice analyzes
your speech and displays the results of your search.
If Google search by voice misunderstood you, the search box
presents a list of similar-sounding search terms.
To perform other things by voice
Voice Actions from Google lets you control your phone using your

businesses, sending messages, browsing the web, and listening to
music.
1

the Google search box.

tacts, followed by the kind of phone number ("mobile," "work,"
and so on)—for example, "Call Mike LeBeau home." If there is a
single match, the number is dialed automatically. See "Dialing
by voice" on page 90.
Send a text message: Say "Send text to Mike Wilson, stuck in
G
traffic, be there soon."
Send an email: Say "Send email to Dave Smith, subject: meeting
G
