What Happens When Dual Mode Is Engaged?

Good question. What kind of signal is present at the Left and Right Effects Send jacks when Dual Mode is engaged?
The Left Effects Send jack will now see the "clean/left" channel, which is the entire Preamp section and its EQ, but NO
INTERNAL MO' BASS EFFECTS. In short, the "Dual Mode" switch changes the function of this jack.
The Right Effects Send jack will see the "wet/right" channel, which essentially means that it will not change - it always sees
everything, including the Preamp EQ at all times and Mo' Bass effects when engaged.

Using The Effects Return Jacks As "Power Amp Inputs"

If you wish to use just the internal power amps in the Mo' Bass, the Effects Return jacks can serve as "Power Amp Inputs."
If you have a MONO signal source and want to use just one side of the amp, you can use either the Left or Right Channel. If
you have a STEREO source, plug the left and right outputs into the corresponding Effects Return Jacks.
Remember: The Mo' Bass External Effects Loop is a TRUE STEREO loop. There is no "mono power amp input" jack that
routes your mono signal source to both sides of the amplifier. If you wish to run the Mo' Bass in this fashion, you will need to
split your mono signal source with a 'Y' cord and route the two ends into the Left and Right Effects Return Jacks. Also,
regardless of how you choose to patch this area, BE SURE that the position of the "Power Amp Assign Switch" (stereo or
bridged/mono) matches the way you are running your speaker outputs. Please refer to the "Speaker Outs" section for more
details.

Internal Effects (EFX) Bypass Jack

This is the input jack for the Internal Effects Bypass footswitch, which can be used to bypass any internal Mo' Bass effect
currently engaged. Please refer to the previously mentioned Internal Effects Bypass section of the manual for more details.

Filter Sweep Pedal Jack

This is the input jack for controlling the Bassynth Filter Control by means of an "Expression Pedal." Please refer to the
previously mentioned Using The Bassynth-Filter Sweep Pedal section of the manual for more details.
"Mo' Control" Footswitch Input Jack (Ft. Sw. In) & MIDI Out Jack
This standard DB9 jack connects the "Mo' Control" Footswitch to the Mo' Bass. The "Mo' Control" Footswitch, available as
an accessory to the Mo' Bass beginning in late 2000, will allow the user to perform hands-free control of the various effects.
Individual switches are as follows:
1. Overdrive
2. SubWave
3. Bassynth
4. Mo' EQ
5. Chorus
6. Dual Mode
7. Internal Effects Bypass
8. Preset Group 1
9. Preset Group 2
10. Preset Group 3
11. Preset Group 4
The "Preset Groups" will allow you to store preset combinations of sounds. You could store Overdrive and SubWave on
Preset Group 1, Bassynth and Chorus on Preset Group 2, etc. The levels of each individual effect will be determined by how
the controls for that effect are set at the time you engage the switch.
The "Mo' Control" Footswitch also engages the MIDI Out function. By using the Preset Groups 1-4, you can send simple
MIDI commands (such as program change and bypass) to an external MIDI device. This way you can coordinate
preset groups of Mo' Bass sounds with different external effects and level controls. (For more details, please
refer to the "Mo' Control" manual.)
