Why doesn't the DVR start when I press the power button?
A
Check the DVR is connected to the mains and that the socket switch is set to the "on" position.

Why is the boot process slow?
A
When the DVR boots, it will search through the database of recorded data. If there is a lot of recorded data,
the boot process may slow down.
Q
Why does the DVR not respond to the remote control?
A
Check the batteries to make sure they are not out of date, and check they are correctly oriented.

Why is the image displayed on the monitor in black & white?
A
Check video output settings; if incorrectly set to PAL / NTSC, the image will be black & white.

Why does my monitor not display an image?
A
For approximately 30 seconds when the DVR is booting, no image is displayed. After this time, the image
should be displayed. If not, please check the monitor is turned on and that the VGA / BNC cable is connected
securely. Check the monitor is connected to a mains supply.

Why do my recorded videos have no audio?
A
The outdoor and dome cameras included in the Storage Options CCTV System do not have audio capabilities.
