2. Insert the card firmly as shown in
the illustration (3), and close the
microSD slot cover (4).
3. Slide the microSD slot cover
toward the top of the phone (5),
and replace the battery and back
cover.
Note: Use only microSD cards
approved by Nokia for use with
this device. Nokia utilises the
approved industry standards
for memory cards, but not all
other brands may function
correctly or be fully compatible
with this device.
Important: Do not remove the
memory card while reading or
writing to the card. Doing so
may cause data corruption on
the card or the phone.
UIM (CDMA SIM) card
installation
The User Identity Module (UIM),
also called the CDMA Subscriber
Identity Module (SIM), card and its
contacts can be easily damaged by
scratches or bending, so be careful
when handling, inserting, or removing
the card. The UIM card slot is built into
the mechanics, located under the
battery.
Before installing the UIM card,
always make sure that the phone is

switched off and that you have
removed the cover and battery.
Keep all UIM cards out of the reach of
small children.
1. Slide the UIM holder in the
direction of the arrow (1) to unlock.
2. Pivot the holder up (2).
3. Insert the UIM card into the holder
(beveled corner last) with the
gold-coloured contacts facing
down, matching up with the
gold-coloured contacts on the
phone (3).
4. Pivot the holder down (4),
slide the holder forward to lock (5),
and replace the battery.
