Initial Settings

Adjusting initial settings

Initial settings lets you perform initial set up of
different settings for this unit.
1 Function display
Shows the function names.

Touch the source icon and then touch
SOURCE OFF to turn this unit off.
# When the source icon is not displayed, you
can display it by touching the screen.

Touch A.MENU and then touch INITIAL
to display the function names.
The function names are displayed and oper-
able ones are highlighted.
# When A.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-
play it by touching the screen.
# You can also display MENU by clicking the
joystick.
# To go to the next group of function names,
touch NEXT.
# To return to the previous group of function
names, touch PREV.
# When the multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-
P7000) is connected to this unit, you can operate
DIGTL ATT instead of REAR SP.
# To return to the previous display, touch BACK.
# To return to the display of each source, touch
ESC.

Switching the warning tone

If the front panel is not detached from the
head unit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition, a warning tone will sound. You can
turn off the warning tone.

Touch A.MENU and INITIAL and then
touch DT. WARNING.

Touch a to turn warning tone on.
# To turn warning tone off, touch b.

Switching the auxiliary setting

It is possible to use auxiliary equipment with
this unit. Activate the auxiliary setting when
using auxiliary equipment connected to this
unit.

Touch A.MENU and INITIAL and then
touch AUX.

Touch a to turn auxiliary setting on.
# To turn auxiliary setting off, touch b.
Setting the rear output and
subwoofer controller
This units rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put and RCA rear output) can be used for full-
range speaker (REAR SP FULL) or subwoofer
(REAR SP SUB. W) connection. If you switch
the rear output setting to the
REAR SP SUB. W, you can connect a rear
speaker lead directly to a subwoofer without
using an auxiliary amp.
Initially, the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
er connection (REAR SP FULL). When rear out-
put are connected to full range speakers
(when REAR SP FULL is selected), you can
connect the RCA subwoofer output to a sub-
woofer. In this case, you can select whether to
use the subwoofer controllers (low pass filter,
phase) built-in PREOUT SUB.W or the auxili-
ary PREOUT FULL.
