Installing the LGA1156 Processor Press the load lever to release the load plate, which covers the CPU socket, from its locking position.

Use your thumb and your index finger to hold the CPU at the top center edge and the bottom center edge of the CPU. Align the CPU key that is the semi-circle cutouts against the socket keys.

Make sure that the locations of all the mounting holes for both motherboard and chassis match. Although a chassis may have both plastic and metal mounting fas- teners, metal ones are highly recommended because they ground the motherboard to the chassis.
