Front view of the drive: PLAYER 1 Busy indicator This light comes on when the drive reads from or writes to a disc. 2 Emergency eject hole This hole provides access to the eject mechanism to remove a disc from the drive. 3 Open/Close button This button opens and closes the disc drawer when you push it.
For more information on setting configuration jumpers on other devices, refer to the documentation that comes with your computer. v Some non-IBM computers use special ATA cables with two wires reversed in the device connectors so that the drives can be configured by the cable instead of by jumper position.
Some non-IBM computers support the cable-select setting, where the position of the device on the cable determines whether a device is master or slave. See the documentation that comes with your computer to determine if your system supports this setting.
Usually, the configuration-setup information screen is displayed when you turn on your computer. If you do not see this screen, check your computer documentation for information about accessing the configuration or setup utility program.
