Possible cause
Battery power is
too low to use
Live
View.
The optional
memory card
that is installed
in the memory
slot is not a
supported
memory card.
The optional
memory card
that is installed
needs to be
formatted.
Solution
You can still take pictures
and video clips, just use the
optical viewfinder instead
of the Image Display. If you
are using
Panorama
shooting mode when you
receive this message, the
camera ends the current
panoramic sequence, saves
the images, and turns off
the Image Display. If you
continue to use
mode after the Image
Display turns off, the
camera starts a new
panoramic sequence. To
use
Live
View, replace or
recharge the battery or use
the optional AC adapter.
Ensure that the memory
card is the proper type for
your camera. (See
on page 167.)
Format the memory card
by following the
instructions on the Image
Display (or remove the
card from the camera if
you do not want it to be
formatted).
