Rotary saw blade change is problem as it doesn’t unlock. Allen wrench turned counterclockwise as thumb spring-screw is depressed will not release the center saw blade bolt because it’s frozen and will not loosen.

To unlock the center saw blade bolt on a Makita 5092D rotary saw when it is frozen and will not loosen:
1. Make sure the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed. 2. Press the shaft lock to prevent the blade from rotating. 3. Use the Makita hex wrench to turn the bolt counterclockwise.
If the bolt is frozen and still will not loosen, apply steady force while ensuring the shaft lock is fully engaged. Do not use tape or other objects to hold buttons in place, as this may damage the tool.

@Mr. Anderson Thanks, but the suggested action unfortunately isn’t resolving the problem with the frozen center saw blade bolt. Tried WD40 with negative results.
Need help?
