Configuring the Antenna

Now that the antenna has the latest software installed, you need
to configure the antenna to take full advantage of the system's
new HDTV functionality.
Step 1 - Select TriSat Mode and Sat Select Mode
Follow the instructions on the following page to set up the
antenna to track three DIRECTV satellites (located in orbital
positions 101ºW, 110ºW, and 119ºW) and to select either
Automatic or Manual satellite switching. The differences between
these two Sat Select modes are noted below.
Automatic Mode
In Automatic mode, the antenna automatically switches
between a pair of satellites. The user can set the control panel to
automatically switch between either the 101 and 110 satellites
or the 101 and 119 satellites. The control panel cannot be set to
automatically switch between the 110 and 119 satellites.

Manual Mode
In Manual mode, the user presses a button on the control panel
whenever he/she wants to switch satellites. The user can select
between the 101, 110, and 119 satellites.
