    Adding and applying licenses To use a purchased license, you must first add it to the HP SIM License Manager database on the CMS, then apply the license to a specific managed system. The CMS keeps track of how many of each type of license are available to be applied to managed systems.

    Authentication is required to enable data collection using either UP or agentless data collection. The required credentials are summarized in WBEM or SSH credentials for a system that has been discovered in HP SIM by selecting Options Security Credentials System Credentials... from the HP SIM menu.

    If error messages about exceeding heap space are displayed, you may need to increase the heap size of the HP SIM Java Virtual Machine (JVM). On 64–bit systems, HP SIM sets the heap size to 4096MB (4GB). You can specify a different heap size by setting the JVMMAXHEAP value (in MB) in the globalsettings.props file.
