Configuring the Capture Settings

Memory Card Settings

The recording method for when two memory cards are inserted
can be set in [Memory Card Options] of the A1 menu or the
control panel.
Sequential
When the memory card in SD1 slot
W
Use
becomes full, data is saved to the card in
SD2.
Save to Both Saves the same data to the memory
Y
cards in SD1 and SD2.
Z Separate
Saves the RAW data to the memory card
RAW/JPEG
in SD1, and JPEG data to the card in
SD2.
t Memo
• When in C mode, data is saved to the card in either SD1 or
SD2. Set in [Memory Card Options] of the C1 menu.

Image Capture Settings

Set the file format for still pictures in [Image Capture Settings] of
the A1 menu or from the control panel.

• When [File Format] is set to [RAW+], a JPEG image and a
RAW image with the same file number are saved at the same
time.
• You can take pictures with a different file format setting only
when P is pressed. (p.72)
• [PEF] of [RAW File Format] is a PENTAX original RAW file
format.

Movie Capture Settings

Set the file format for movies in [Movie Capture Settings] of the
C1 menu or from the control panel.
