    17-6003.fm Page 9 Wednesday, July 21, 1999 4:52 PM OPERATION TURNING POWER ON/OFF AND SELECTING THE ALERT The power switch ( ) on the side of your pager slides to turn power on or off and set the alert type (beep or vibrate).

However, you can set the pager to briefly alert every 2 minutes (up to 12 hours) until you read all new messages.

After you read a duplicate message, the pager saves all duplicate messages in one record, showing the most recent elapsed message time.

This way, you can re- ceive important messages immediately. Leave your pager number at your children’s school and with the babysitter so you can always be reached in an emergency.
