To activate your pager, call MobileComm or its asso- ciated carrier at the telephone number listed in the ac- tivation instructions provided with your pager’s activation packet.

Replace the battery as soon as possible. Note: The built-in memory stores messages and set- tings for at least 1 minute (or more, depending on your pager’s settings and the amount of memory used)

  • Page 13 17-8007.fm Page 13 Thursday, July 22, 1999 9:53 AM Selecting the Alert Tone Pattern When you set so the pager sounds tones (beeps) to alert you of messages, you have a choice of four tone patterns (1–4). The pager is preset to use tone pattern 1. To select a different pattern, follow these steps.

Each time you press the button, the pager sounds the next tone pattern and that pat- tern number flashes. 5. When you hear the pattern you want to use, press to select that pattern and return to the standby display.

However, you can set the pager to briefly alert every 2 minutes (up to 12 hours) until you read all new messages.
