    17-8002.fm Page 6 Thursday, July 22, 1999 9:40 AM INSTALLING A BATTERY Your pager requires one AAA battery. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend an alka- line battery, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-555. Caution: Always use a fresh battery of the required size and type.

    UNPROTECTING MESSAGES Follow these steps to protect a message from being replaced (if the memory is full) or accidentally deleted. 1. Repeatedly press until the pager displays the message you want to protect. 2. Repeatedly press until the pager displays PROTECT? 3.
