to
prepare
the
dishes
for
washing
If this is yourfirst dishwasher, o r
if you'rereplacinga mucholder
model,youmaywonderhowmuch
pre-preparation yourdishesneed.
Actuallyverylittle.Fre-rinsingof
normalfoodsoilsis notnecessary.
Withcommonsenseanda little
practiceyou'llsoonknowwhat
foodsto remove.Here are some
guidelines:
1. Scrapeoffbones,seeds,skins,
toothpicks andotherhardsolids.It
is alsobestto removehardshelled
vegetables, m eattrimmings,leafy
vegetables andcrusts.Remove
excessive quantitiesof oilor
grease.
2. Removelargequantitiesof any
food.Yourdishwasher h asa built-in
sofifooddisposerthatpulverizes
sofifoodbitsandflushesthemaway.
It canhandlesmallamountsof
softfoods,butlargeamountswill
be difficultto handle.
3. Tryto removefoodscrapsand
plac~dishesin dishwashe~before
soilhasa chanceto dry andbecome
hard. Disheswithdried-onsoilare
moredifficultto washand may
not comecleanin the NORMAL
WASHcycle.Rememberto use
yourNNSE HOLDcyclefor small
"holding"loads.
