Replacing the fan assembly

This procedure describes how to remove and replace the fan.
1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the cover" on page 154.
2. Pivot the drive-bay assembly upward to gain access to the fan assembly.
3. Disconnect the fan cable, power switch or LED cable, and temperature sensor
cable from the system board. See "System board connectors" on page 153.
Note: Make sure you note the location of the fan cables when you disconnect
the cables from the system board.
