Self timer

Sets the time after the shutter button is pressed until the picture is taken.

Press the jY button (G) to display the direct menu.

Select [Y12], [Y2] or [YC] using HI and press the A
button.

• To cancel the activated self-timer, press the  button.
• Self timer is not canceled automatically after shooting.
AFL (Focus lock)
You can lock the focus position.

Press the AFL/FOCUS LIMIT button.
• The camera focuses and locks the position.
• You can also lock the position when pressing the AFL/FOCUS LIMIT
button after pressing the shutter button halfway to focus.
• After shooting, the focus lock is released.
• While locking the focus position, turn the control dial to switch to MF
(manual focus).
• Press the AFL/FOCUS LIMIT button again to cancel.

Press the shutter button halfway to focus, the rest of
the way down to start the timer. First, the self-timer
lamp lights up for approximately 10 seconds, then it
blinks for approximately 2 seconds and the picture
is taken.
Press the shutter button halfway to focus, the rest of
the way down to start the timer. The self-timer lamp
blinks for approximately 2 seconds, and then the
picture is taken.
After selecting this mode, press the  button to
set "the number of frames, the time from pressing
the shutter button until the picture is taken, and the
interval time". Pictures are taken by these setting.
