I Before Adjustment of optical components.
1. Each adjustment requires ball allen wrenches set and slot screwdrivers set. Moreover, con-
vergence adjustment requires an optional convergence adjustment tool "Convergence
Adjuster."
The convergence adjustment tool can be ordered as follows:
"Convergence Adjuster"
Service part NO. : 610 304 8208
2. Set the position of motorized lens shift to the center position.
(The position where an arrow becomes red on a screen is a center position.)
3. The test pattern display exists in service mode. Use it at the time of LCD Panel Focus adjust-
ment and convergence adjustment.
(a) Set the image to "service mode."
(b) Select Group no. 998-0.
(c) Press the Volume+ - buttons, and each color grid pattern is displayed.
(d) Press menu button to quit the service mode.
4. When adjusting lenses of the Relay and Condenser, follow the following procedure.
(a) Remove the connector K8E, connector K8V and the flexible cables of the LCD panels from
the assembly Main. (Never touch the electrode of flexible cables.)
(b) As shown in a figure, Set the assembly-Main to the upright position.
(c) At this time, the assembly main must not short-circuit with the chassis. Protect assembly-
Main using an insulator.
