HDMI SETUP MENU

ABOUT HDMI

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) supports both video and
audio on a single digital connection for use with DVD Players, Set-Top Boxes
and other AV devices.
HDMI was developed to provide the technologies of HDCP (High Definition
Contents Protection). HDCP is used to protect digital content transmitted
and received.
HDMI has the capability to support standard, enhanced or high-definition
video plus standard to multi-channel surround-sound audio, HDMI features
include uncompressed digital video, a bandwidth of up to 5 gigabytes per
second, one connector (instead of several cables and connectors), and
communication between the AV source and AV devices such as DTVs.

HDMI VIDEO

The resolution of your HDMI video can be adjusted with T 535 connected to
an HDMI-compatible component via the HDMI jack.
480P/576P, 720P, 1080i and 1080P : Set applicable resolution
depending on your TV/Monitor capability.
Auto : The best resolution is automatically selected based on your
TV/monitor's capability.
NOTES
• When [TV Type] is set to [NTSC] or [PAL], video output signals will be
480P or 576P accordingly.
• Component video out is muted at HDMI ON.
• For settings other than [Auto], be sure that the selected resolution
is supported by the HDMI-compatible monitor you are using. If the
selected resolution is not supported, this setting is automatically
switched to the most appropriate resolution.
• Picture quality may decrease when [1080P] is selected and an HDMI
cable longer than 5m is used.
USING THE T 535 – HDMI SETUP MENU

WIDE SCREEN FORMAT

The aspect ratio of the projected images on the screen can be adjusted
through the following options.
Zoom : Display 4:3 image on a 16:9 screen with the center portion of
the screen enlarged. (The top, bottom, left and right portions of the
screen are cut off.)
NL Stretch : Display 4:3 image on a 16:9 screen with non-linear
stretching. (The center position of the screen is stretched less than the
side.)
Pillar Box : Display 4:3 image on a 16:9 screen without stretching.
Off : No aspect ratio adjustment.
NOTE
This function is only available for progressive scan and HDMI output.

DVI OUTPUT

The DVI output range can be set to match the connected component.
Standard : Select if you cannot see the correct image when you select
[Enhanced].
Enhanced : Select if black and white in the image is not distinct.
NOTE
This function is only available when connected to a DVI-D-compatible
component via the HDMI jack.

HDMI AUDIO

HDMI audio output can be set to match the connected component.
Auto : Best audio setting is automatically selected based on the
connected component.
PCM : Audio output is the decoded multi-channel or 2ch linear PCM
audio signals.
Off : Turn off HDMI audio output.
NOTES
• This function is only available when connected to an HDMI-compatible
component via the HDMI jack.
• SACD signal is not available at HDMI out.
• Digital output signals are muted when [HDMI Audio] is set to [Auto] or
[PCM].
