POWER MODE OPTIONS The FireWire 800 3-Port Hub supports either self-powered or bus-powered modes of operation. Bus-powered mode is usually sufficient when using FireWire devices that provide their own power. When using the Hub with mul- tiple bus-powered FireWire devices or on a laptop computer, it is recommend- ed that the Hub be operated in self-powered mode. -
