TARE is also used to remove the weight of an item from the display - it also sets the scale’s display to zero but the original weight is stored in the memory of the scale. You can then press NW/GW to show the weight that you tared off. For example, if you turn the scale on, then place 100 grams of sugar in the scale’s bowl, the scale will show 100g.

Error messages EEEE: Overload Low battery Weighing procedures Press [ON/OFF] to turn on the scale. When the power is turned on the display will show all segments (88888) for a few seconds and then "0" will appear on the display. Select the weighing unit with [MODE].
