Do not use a charger not approved by Extech for use with the APEX 4. Use of an unapproved charger could damage the battery pack or the printer and will void the warranty. The battery terminals are well recessed inside the printer. Do not allow them to contact conductive material since this may create a short circuit which could cause injury or start a fire. - Page 9 GREEN mode. 3.4 USB Communication The APEX 4 printer comes equipped with a USB 2.0 slave port. Everything that can be done through the RS-232 port can now be done through the USB port. You may print to or send commands to the printer from a PC or any equipment that can act as a USB master. -
