Initializing the Scanner to Factory Defaults

If initializing the global parameters to factory
defaults does not resolve your problem, you
may wish to initialize the entire scanner to
factory defaults. This operation will result in the
clearing of your programmed data and the loss
of any custom changes you have made to the
radio's global parameters. Use this option as a
last resort, and, if possible, save your working
memory to a V-Scanner folder prior to performing
this operation.
Note: This procedure clears all information you
stored in the scanner's working memory, AND
resets the global parameters to factory defaults.
Initialize the scanner only when you are sure
the scanner is not working properly. V-Scanner
memory is not affected when the scanner is
initialized.
1. Turn off the scanner, then turn it on again.
The scanner briefly displays the DSP boot
version, and then the Welcome/Owner screen
is displayed.
