If you work in a hotel/motel environment, your SelecSet
500A attendant console may be equipped with a VIP
wakeup programmable option key. This key lets you
provide VIP guests with preferential wake-up service.
When a wake-up call for a VIP guest is to occur, the
telephone system sends a burst ring to the VIP wake-up
key on your console, if the phone is not already ringing,
alerting you to a personalized wake-up call.
To provide a guest with a VIP wakeup, follow these steps:
1
You hear a burst of ringing at your VIP programmable
option key and the associated lamp flashes. Press
<DSPL> and then <VIP> to display the room number,
name, and language preference of the first VIP guest
in the queue and the total number of VIP wakeups in
the queue.
2
Check the language indicator at the bottom right of
your display to see if you need to speak to the guest in
another language.
3
Press the <VIP> key. The system automatically places
a call to the VIP guest's room while indicating the
guest's room number, name and language preference
on the display based on how your telephone system is
set up to display language preference as shown in the
following display.
