Make sure that the locations of all the mounting holes for both motherboard and chassis match. Although a chassis may have both plastic and metal mounting fas- teners, metal ones are highly recommended because they ground the motherboard to the chassis.

Jumpers create shorts between two pins to change the function of the connector. Pin 1 is identified with a square solder pad on the printed circuit board.

    Chapter 2: Installation Clear CMOS Contact Pads JBT1 is used to clear the CMOS memory. Instead of pins, this "jumper" consists of contact pads to prevent accidental clearing of CMOS.
