6. First place the pins into the housing. See Fig-
ure 5-58.
NOTE
The shift forks are replaced in a slightly differ-
ent order.
7. Then the lockplate. See Figure 5-59.
NOTE
The lockout plate must be installed with the tab
behind the bevel gear.
8. Install shift forks. Secure transmission housing
halves together with 1/4-20 screws. See Figure
5-60.
