Phone settings

LANGUAGE
Press Menu, then select Settings, Phone settings, and Language. Select the
language for the display texts. If Automatic is selected, the phone selects the
language according to the information on the SIM card.

SECURITY KEYGUARD

Security keyguard lets you lock your phone's key pad with a security code. When
the keypad is locked, this icon
keyguard on and activated, the keys are still locked even when you open the flip.

Press Menu, then select Settings, Phone settings, and Security keyguard.

Key in the security code and press OK. The Security keyguard code is the same
as your security code. (See "Security settings" on page 70.)
Note: You should replace the default security code with a new code as soon
as possible.

To deactivate, press Unlock, OK, enter the security code, and press OK.
Important: You can still call 911, even with Security Keyguard activated.
This feature lets you lock your phone with a security code. Please note that
even when the keyguard lock is activated, the phone content (except Java
applications like e-mail) can be read using Nokia PC Suite when the phone
is attached to a computer using data cable.

CELL INFO DISPLAY

Press Menu, then select Settings, Phone settings, and Cell info display. Select On
to set the phone to indicate when it is used in a cellular network based on
microcellular network (MCN) technology.
If the GPRS connection is set to Always online, the cell identity may not be
received. In that case, set the GPRS connection to When needed. See "GPRS
connection" on page 89.
