T h e c o o l e r f a n p o w e r c o n n e c t o r s u p p l i e s a + 1 2 V p o w e r v o l t a g e via a 3 - p i n / 4 - p i n ( C P U _ F A N )
power c o n n e c t o r and p o s s e s s e s a foolproof c o n n e c t i o n design.
Most coolers are d e s i g n e d with c o l o r - c o d e d p o w e r c o n n e c t o r wires. A red p o w e r c o n n e c t o r wire
indicates a positive c o n n e c t i o n and requires a + 1 2 V p o w e r voltage. T h e black c o n n e c t o r w i r e is
the g r o u n d wire ( G N D ) .
R e m e m b e r to c o n n e c t t h e C P U / s y s t e m f a n cable to the C P U _ F A N / S Y S _ F A N c o n n e c t o r to pre-
v e n t C P U d a m a g e or s y s t e m h a n g i n g c a u s e d by o v e r h e a t i n g .

5) FDD (Floppy Connector)
T h e FDD connector is used to connect the FDD cable while the other end of the cable connects to
the F D D drive. T h e t y p e s of F D D drives s u p p o r t e d are: 3 6 0 KB, 7 2 0 KB, 1.2 MB, 1.44 M B and
2.88 MB. B e f o r e a t t a c h i n g the F D D cable, p l e a s e t a k e note of the f o o l p r o o f g r o o v e in t h e FDD
c o n n e c t o r .
