• NE PAS brancher si le commutateur est en
position de marche, ce qui pourrait provoquer
des lesions corporelles ou des dommages ma-
tériels.
• Le cordon bouge rapidement lors du réenrou-
lement. Garder les enfants à l'écart et assurer
un parcours libre lors du réenroulement du
cordon pour éviter les blessures.
• NE PAS utiliser de prise au-dessus des
comptoirs, sous peine d'endommager des
objets dans les environs.
1. Tirer le cordon
hors du traîneau
jusqu'à la lon-
gueur désirée. Il
faut appuyer sur
la barre de rem-
bobinage pour
rembobiner le
cordon.
REMARQUE: Cet aspirateur possède une fiche
polarisée, une lame est plus large que l'autre afin de
réduire le risque de chocs électriques. Cette fiche ne
peut s'insérer dans une prise polarisée que d'une
seule façon. Si la fiche ne s'insère pas à fond dans la
prise, inverser la fiche. Si elle ne s'insère toujours
pas à fond, se mettre en contact avec un électricien
compétent qui posera la prise appropriée. La fiche
ne doit être altérée d'aucune façon.
2. Brancher le cordon polarisé sur une prise de 120
V située à proximité du plancher.
Pour réenrouler:
débrancher l'aspira-
teur. Tenir la fiche
durant le réenroule-
ment afin d'éviter les
dommages ou bles-
sures causés par le
cordon en mouve-
ment. Pousser la
barre d'enroulement
de la corde d'alimen-
tation avec la main
ou le pied.

ATTENTION
Ne PAS laisser longtemps fonctionner le

Power-Mate dans un seul endroit en sa posi-
tion verticale. Ceci pourrait endommager la
moquette.
3. Baisser le tube droit depuis sa position verticale
en appuyant sur la pédale de relâchement de man-
che.
4. Sélectionner un réglage de hauteur de poils en
appuyant sur la petite pédale se trouvant à l'arrière
du Power-Mate ® . Le réglage de hauteur de poils ap-
paraît sur l'indicateur. Se reporter à la section
RÉGLAGES SUGGÉRÉS DE HAUTER DE POILS.
ATTENTION : Reportez-vous aux recommandations
de nettoyage du fabricant de la moquette. Certaines
moquettes doivent être nettoyées avec l'agitateur
Power-Mate ® hors tension afin d'éviter
d'endommager la moquette.

pas le Power-Mate ® dans cette position.

PERFORMANCE INDICATOR

When the
Performance
vacuum cleaner
Indicator
is running with
normal airflow,
the light on the
performance
indicator is off.
The light comes
on whenever the
airflow becomes blocked. If that occurs,
check the disposable dust bag, motor
safety filter and other possible clog
locations shown in HOW YOUR VACUUM
CLEANER WORKS.
To correct problem: See the TROUBLE-
SHOOTING table.
NOTE: The light may come on when using
certain attachments, due to reduced airflow
through attachment.

THERMAL PROTECTOR

This vacuum cleaner has a thermal
protector which automatically trips to protect
the vacuum cleaner from overheating. If a
clog prevents the normal flow of air to the
motor, the thermal protector turns the
motor off automatically. This allows the
motor to cool in order to prevent possible
damage to the vacuum cleaner.
To correct problem: Turn the vacuum
cleaner off and unplug the power cord
from the outlet to allow the vacuum
cleaner to cool and the thermal protector
to reset. Check for and remove clogs, if
necessary. Also check and replace any
clogged filters. Wait approximately
thirty (30) minutes and plug the vacuum
cleaner in and turn back on to see if the
motor protector has reset.
POWER-MATE ® STORAGE
The lower wand has
a "U" shaped flange
that slides into the
"U" shaped slot in
the canister.
The flange allows
the wands and
®
Power-Mate to be
stored with the
canister to conserve
storage space. The canister must be
stored on end for this feature to be used.
To attach the Power-Mate ® , it must be in
the flat position as shown in the
illustration. Use the handle release pedal
to place it in this position.
The wand will slip out of the slot as it is
lifted up for use and will slide into the slot as
it is lowered for storage.
STAIR GRIP
During normal operation while the canister is
in the horizontal position, the caster wheel
rotates freely 360°.
The Stair Grip
feature allows
the caster
wheel to lock in
position when
the vacuum
cleaner is
rotated 25°
from horizontal into a vertical position in
order for the canister to rest on stairs.
