Hard Drive Cage

To remove the hot-plug drive cage:
1. Power down the server. See "Powering Down the Server" in this chapter.
2. Remove the tower or rack front bezel. See "Front Bezel" or "Rack Bezel" in this chapter.
3. Remove the access panel. See "Access Panel" in this chapter.
4. Remove all hard drives and blanks. See "Hard Drive Blank" and "Hot-Plug SCSI Hard
Drive" in this chapter.
5. Remove the point-to-point SCSI cable from the SCSI hard drive backplane and system
board

6. Remove the power cable from the SCSI hard drive backplane
NOTE: The center wall is removed from the illustration for clarity.
