INSTALLATION Preparation 1. If possible, disconnect and move freestanding or slide-in range from cabinet opening to pro- vide easier access to rear wall. Otherwise put a thick, protective covering over countertop, cooktop or range to protect from damage or dirt. Select a flat surface for assembling the hood. - Page 9 Upper cabinet or soffit mountong surface Centerline 4” 5/16 Power supplì cable hole in wall 4. Cut a 1” 1/4 hole for power supply cable. Run wire through hole according the National Electrical Code or CSA Standards and local codes and ordinances. There must be enough power supply cable from the fused disconnect (or circuit breaker) box to make the connec- tion in the hood’s electrical box.

INSTALLATION Préparation 1. Si possible, débrancher et mettre la cuisinière à part ou la faire glisser hors de l'ouverture du meuble pour faciliter l'accès au mur en arrière. Ou alors, couvrir le plan de travail, les pla- ques de cuisson et la cuisinière avec une épaisse couverture afin de prévenir les dégâts et les saletés. - Page 21 Haut du meuble ou surface d'assemblage du soffite Ligne centrale 4” 5/16 Trou dans le mur pour le cable d'alimentation 4. Percer un trou de 1” 1/4 pour le câble d'alimentation. Faire passer le câble en respectant le Code national de l'électricité ou les normes de l'Association canadienne de normalisation et les codes et ordonnances locaux.

Ôter le couvercle du boitier de connexion (à l'arrière de la hotte). En- lever l'alvéole défonçable pour le câble d'alimentation à l'aide d'un tournevis plat.
- Page 23 11. Placer les vis de montage de la hotte à proximité des trous percés dans le fond du meuble. Soulever la hotte à la position voulue tout en enfilant le câblage dans le serre-câble. Insérer les vis dans les trous de passage et commencer à visser. Ensuite, serrer les vis de manière à ce que l'installation soit sécuritaire.
