Q4.
Why sometimes Ambiglow is too
bright / dark!?
Ans.:
Please adjust intensity from OSD hot
key ▲▼, and select your preference
"Bright, Brighter, Brightest". Please
refer to page 8 for hotkey operation.

the Ambiglow "Auto", the intensity is
variable and depends on the actual
screen image. For example, if the movie
has dark images, then the intensity will
be less. Note that in the Ambiglow
"SmartBiasLight" mode, the glow of light
is static and not linked to screen image.
Q5.
Ambiglow is set to brightest, but I
cannot see the glow on the wall.
Ans.:
1. Please ensure that your monitor is
placed not more than 10 cm to 15
cm distance from the wall or a solid
flat surface
2. We recommend a flat, white or
neutral colored wall/surface for the
best viewing experience.
3. We recommend that you dim the
room lighting to minimum, or turn it
off for the best Ambiglow effect.
Q6.
Why does Ambiglow always show
white color glow even when the
movies, images and games are colorful?
Ans.:
Please ensure that your Ambiglow
setting in OSD menu is set on AUTO
which will activate the Ambiglow in full
color glow mode to match the color of
screen images.

switch it to "Auto mode". You can also refer to
page 8 for hotkey.

9.4 General FAQs

Q1:
When I install my monitor what should
I do if the screen shows 'Cannot
display this video mode'?
Ans.:
Recommended resolution for this
monitor: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz.
Unplug all cables, then connect your PC to
the monitor that you used previously.
In the Windows Start Menu, select Settings/
Control Panel. In the Control Panel
Window, select the Display icon. Inside the
Display Control Panel, select the 'Settings'
tab. Under the setting tab, in box labelled
'desktop area', move the sidebar to 1920 x
1080 pixels.
Open 'Advanced Properties' and set the
Refresh Rate to 60 Hz, then click OK.
Restart your computer and repeat step 2
and 3 to verify that your PC is set at 1920
x 1080 @ 60 Hz.
Shut down your computer, disconnect your
old monitor and reconnect your Philips
LCD monitor.
Turn on your monitor and then turn on
your PC.
