1. Torque wrench
7. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring
of the new oil filter.
NOTE:

Make sure the O-ring is seated properly.

8. Install the oil filter and tighten it to the
specified torque with a torque wrench.
Tightening torque:
Oil filter:
17 Nm (1.7 m.kgf, 12 ft.lb)
9. Fill the engine with sufficient oil to reach
the specified level. Install the dipstick and
tighten it.
Recommended oil:
See page 10-2.
Oil quantity:
Total amount:
2.2 L (1.94 Imp qt, 2.33 US qt)
Periodic oil change:
1.9 L (1.67 Imp qt, 2.01 US qt)
With oil filter replacement:
2.0 L (1.76 Imp qt, 2.11 US qt)
CAUTION:

Do not put in any chemical additives.

Engine oil also lubricates the clutch
and additives could cause clutch slip-
page.
G Be sure no foreign material enters the
crankcase.
