1. Air filter case cover

Air filter cleaning

This air filter element should be
cleaned at the specified intervals. It
should be cleaned more frequently you
are riding in unusually wet or dusty
areas.
1. Remove the air filter case cover by
removing the screws.
2. Remove the foam element from its
case. Wash the element gently, but
thoroughly, in solvent.
3. Squeeze the excess solvent out of
the foam element and let it dry.
WARNING
Use parts cleaning solvent only.
Never use gasoline or low flash point
solvents which may lead to a fire or
explosion.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR

4. Apply oil to the entire surface of the
element and squeeze out the excess
oil. The element should be damp, but
not dripping with oil.
CAUTION:
Do not twist or wring out the foam
element. This could damage the
foam material.
Recommanded oil :
EUU77000
Yamalube 2-cycle oil or
air-cooled, 2-stroke engine oil

surface of its case so there is no air
leakage.

the bolts are tightened securely to
avoid the possibility of unfiltered air
entering the engine.
