Starting Up

Set both the DRIVE and ROBOT power switches
of the CSM-200BF/200BS/100BF/100BS/60BF/
60BS to the I position (ON).

If an optional fibre channel switch has been
installed in the system, turn it on.
It is required about three minutes to activate the
fibre channel switch.

Turn the PCU on.

Type "sonypsc" in the Username box to log in.

Click on the PetaApp icon on the desktop to start
PetaApp.

Ending

Terminate all applications

Check that no cartridge is installed in any drive.

Terminate the PCU following the procedures
below:
1) Type "root" in the Username box to log in.
2) Type the following in the Terminal window.
# /sbin/init 0
or
# /sbin/poweroff
where # is the command prompt for the root
user.
The termination status will appear for each
process.
3) When the following message appears, press the
power button on the front panel to turn the unit
off.
Halting system....
Stopping all md devices.
Power down

If an optional fibre channel switch has been
installed in the system, turn it off.

Set the DRIVE power switch to the a position
(OFF).

Set the ROBOT power switch to the a position
(OFF).
