Setting the System Mode
You can set the phone to select the system mode from UMTS (3G) or GSM automatically
or set the system mode fixed to UMTS or GSM.
1. In standby mode, press

◆ Dual: Allows you to set your phone to select UMTS or GSM automatically. Select

If you select UMTS Only or GSM
Only, you cannot make or receive
any calls including emergency calls
(page 27) when the selected network
is unavailable. Functions that use a
network connection are also
unavailable. In such a case, change
the system mode.
