Turn the speed-changing switch towards your body to raise the speed of the scooter and away from your body to lower the speed.

If the belt is too loose, it will make a "popping" noise while accelerating, indicating the need for immediate adjustments. Before adjusting the belt drive, disconnect the battery power to prevent accidental starts or shocks.
