ENGINE LACKS
POWER
1. Check air filter.
2. Take engine to an

servicing dealer, or
refer to shop manual.
Possible Cause
Battery discharged.
Fuse burnt out.
(if equipped)
Fuel valve OFF.
(if equipped)
Choke OPEN.
Engine switch OFF.
(if equipped)
Out of fuel.
Spark plugs faulty,
fouled, or improperly
Spark plugs wet with
fuel (flooded engine).

Correction
Recharge battery.

unless engine is warm.

plugs. Start engine
with throttle lever in
FAST position.
Replace or repair
faulty components as
necessary.
Correction
