CARING FOR YOUR TAG HEUER WATCH
Like any high-quality watch, your TAG Heuer chronograph requires a certain amount of care. The
following guidelines will enable you to ensure your watch's reliability and protect its appearance
over time.
Rinsing. Be sure to rinse your chronograph regularly with fresh water and soap, particularly after
it has been exposed to salt water. For frequent or prolonged use in water we recommend a steel
and/or gold bracelet. Remember your chronograph is only waterproof if the crown is in position 0.
Condensation. If the temperature changes suddenly, a slight condensation may appear under the
crystal of your chronograph. This will soon disappear and will not affect the functioning of your watch.
If the condensation does not disappear, please see your official TAG Heuer dealer.
Pressure seals. Over time, the pressure seals on your chronograph may deteriorate. We recommend
that you have the water-resistance of your watch checked once a year by your TAG Heuer dealer,
who will replace the seals if necessary.
Battery. Your chronograph is fitted with a battery that lasts for approximately two years. However,
you may need to replace it before you have owned the watch for two years because it is installed
before it leaves the factory. When your chronograph is not in use, we recommend selecting CHRONO
mode by simply pressing the crown. With the hands stopped, the service life of the battery is
prolonged.
Gold plating. Some of our watches include parts that have been plated with a fine layer of yellow
gold. This plating is sensitive to friction on hard or rough surfaces and may show wear over time.
Under normal conditions of use, the gold plating of your watch will give you complete satisfaction.
Leather straps. Our leather straps are manufactured from top-quality skins and treated to resist
humidity. However, leather is a sensitive material and it is best to limit its use in water. To care for
your leather strap, we recommend that you clean it with a soft, dry, cotton cloth and do not use any
abrasive cleaning products. It is normal for the leather to darken slightly over time.

We recommend cleaning a metal bracelet with soap and soft water each month.
For extra security, our steel and/or gold bracelets are fitted with a double safety clasp.
