    AXD130 Preparation Please read entire manual before installation. Before You Start • D isconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. • A void installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration. Getting Started • Remove trim ring from unit. • Remove 2 transit screws located on top of the unit. • Insert the supplied keys into the slots as shown, and slide the unit out of the mounting sleeve. • Install mounting sleeve into opening, bending tabs to secure. • Connect wiring harness and antenna. Consult a qualified technician if you are unsure. • Certain vehicles may require an installation kit and/or wiring harness adapter (sold separately). • Test for correct operation and slide into mounting sleeve to secure. • Snap trim ring into place.     AXD130 General Operation Faceplate Removal Press OPEN to open the face plate, then pull away from the right side to remove. To re-install, insert right side of faceplate first then push left side to secure. Power On/Off Press or any other button to turn the unit on. Press turn the unit off. Mode Press SOURCE to select between AM/FM, CD player, auxiliary and USB modes. Modes of operation are shown in the display. NOTE: CD and USB modes will not appear unless a CD is inserted or USB device is connected. Auxiliary Input The AXD130 offers a 3.5 mm auxiliary input port on the front panel of the unit for connecting an audio device, MP3 player, etc. Press SOURCE to select auxiliary input mode. Volume Adjust volume using volume knob (00-46). Display Press DISP to select between clock and different types of information, such as radio frequency, CD track/elapsed time or MP3/WMA song information. Reset Press RESET upon initial installation or if abnormal operation occurs. Reset button is located behind the front panel. (Tuner mode only) LOCAL OFF Activates distance tuning (Tuner mode only). Local/Distance Activates local tuning for strong station reception only (Tuner Tuning LOCAL ON mode only). Programs the unit to USA tuner spacing. FREQ USA Tuner (200kHz for FM and 10kHz for AM). (Tuner mode only) Frequency Programs the unit to European tuner spacing. Spacing FREQ EURO (50kHz for FM and 9kHz for AM). (Tuner mode only) CLOCK OFF Programs unit to not display the clock when the power is off.
  • Page 8 AXD130 General Operation Audio Press AUDIO/MENU momentarily to select between Bass, Middle, Treble, Balance, Fader, Loudness and Source Level. BASS MIDDLE TREBLE BALANCE FADER LOUDNESS SOURCE LEVEL SUBWOOFER FREQUENCY SUBWOOFER Bass Press AUDIO/MENU until BASS appears then rotate volume knob left/right to adjust ( -6 minimum / +6 maximum). Middle Press AUDIO/MENU until MIDDLE appears then rotate volume knob left/right to adjust ( -6 minimum / +6 maximum). Treble Press AUDIO/MENU until TREBLE appears then rotate volume knob left/right to adjust ( -6 minimum / +6 maximum). Balance Press AUDIO/MENU until BALANCE appears then rotate volume knob left/right to adjust (BAL 12L - BAL 12R).

    AXD130 AM/FM Tuner Operation Manual Tuning Press TUNE or TUNE momentarily to change radio frequency up or down one step at a time. Press and hold to advance quickly. Seek Tuning Press TUNE or TUNE for more than two seconds (then release) to automatically seek and tune to the next strong station. Press BAND to select between FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1 and Band AM2 bands. Up to 18 FM stations and 12 AM stations can be stored. To Storing and Recalling store a station, select the desired band and station. Press Station Presets and hold the desired preset button (1-6) for more than 2 seconds. When stored, the preset number will appear in the display. The station can be recalled anytime by pressing the corresponding preset button.
  • Page 10 AXD130 CD Operation Insert CD Press OPEN to open the face plate and expose the CD slot. With the label facing up, insert a standard size CD into the CD slot. The CD will automatically begin playback. Eject CD With the face plate open, press EJECT to eject the CD. The unit will change to previous mode of operation. If the disc is not removed within 10 seconds, the unit will reload the disc. The unit does not have to be turned on to eject CD. Track Select Press TRACK to skip to the beginning of the next track. Press TRACK to return to the beginning of the current track. Pressing TRACK again skips to the beginning of the previous track. Fast Forward/Reverse Press and hold TRACK or TRACK on the remote control to fast forward or reverse a track. / II to temporarily stop CD playback. Pause Press / II again to resume playback. Press Repeat Press RPT to continuously repeats selected track. Press RPT again to turn the Repeat function off.
  • Page 11 AXD130 CD Operation - MP3/WMA Files Playing an MP3/WMA When an MP3/WMA encoded disc is first inserted, “READING" will flash in the display. Depending on the number of files and folders, this may take several seconds. Displaying Information Press DISP to step through available display options, including track number, elapsed time, track name, directory name, artist name and album name. *Song title, artist name and album name will only be displayed if included with the MP3/WMA file. When referring to MP3/WMA playback, the following terms are synonymous: • File name and track name • Folder name and directory name Repeat Press RPT to enter the Repeat menu, then turn the volume knob to select one of the following options: • ALL - Plays all tracks on CD. • SONG - Continuously repeats selected song. • FOLDER - Continuously repeats all files in selected folder. Press RDM to enter the Random menu, then turn the Random volume knob to select one of the following options: • OFF - Cancels the RDM function. • ALL - Plays all tracks in random order. • FOLDER - Plays all tracks in folder in random order. Intro Press INT to enter the Intro menu, then turn the volume knob to select one of the following options: • OFF - Cancels the INT function.

    AXD130 USB Operation Connecting a USB To play MP3/WMA files from most USB mass storage Device devices, line up the USB connector and insert the USB (sold separately) device into the AXD130's USB port. Playing Music When a USB device is first connected, “READING” will flash in the display, and playback will begin momentarily. Depending on the number of files and folders, it may take several seconds for the device to begin playing. If no valid MP3/WMA files are detected, “NO FILE” will be displayed and the last mode will be resumed. Track Select Press TRACK to skip to the beginning of the next track. Press TRACK to return to the beginning of the current track. Pressing TRACK again skips to the beginning of the previous track. Fast Forward and Press and hold TRACK or TRACK on the Reverse remote control to fast forward or reverse a track. / II to temporarily stop USB playback. Pause Press / II again to resume playback.

    AXD130 Music Search - MP3/WMA Files File/Folder Search Begin Searching Press SELECT to enter the file/folder search mode. A list of all the folders from the disc or device will be displayed. Note: Any files located in the root directory will be located in the folder named "ROOT". Choose a Song Turn the volume knob to cycle through all the folders on the CD, and press SELECT to choose the desired folder. The list of files in the selected folder will be displayed. Turn the volume knob to cycle through the list of files. Menu Navigation Pressing GO BACK when viewing the contents of a folder will return to the list of folders on the disc or device.
