Installing the TCP/IP protocol

The TCP/IP protocol ensures that the PCs in the network can communicate with each
other. You must install this
connection with the Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl.

In the Network window, change from the Identification register to Configuration.

In the Network window, check that there is a TCP/IP -> entry for your network card
or network adapter in the list of components. If, for example, you are using a
Gigaset PC Card 108 as the wireless network adapter, the list must contain the entry
TCP/IP > Siemens Gigaset PC Card 108.

If the entry does not exist, click Add.

Select Protocol as the network component type and click Add.

Under Manufacturers select Microsoft, and under Network Protocols select
TCP/IP, and click OK to confirm.
